چکیده

An adaptive ltering and masking technique of three-dimensional data sets, e.g. spectral data from a radio interferometer, based on wavelets and morphological lters is presented. Applications to visualization (volume rendering) and moment analysis are discussed.

Image Enhancement Using an Adaptive Un-sharp Masking Method Considering the Gradient Variation

Technical limitations in image capturing usually impose defective, such as contrast degradation. There are different approaches to improve the contrast of an image. Among the exiting approaches, un-sharp masking is a popular method due to its simplicity in implementation and computation. There is an important parameter in un-sharp masking, named gain factor, which affects the quality of the enh...

Unbiased Equation - Error Adaptive IIR FilteringBased on Moni

35 Unbiased Equation-Error Adaptive IIR Filtering Based on Moni Normalization Hyoung-Nam Kim, Student Member, IEEE, and Woo-Jin Song, Member, IEEE Abstra t| We present a novel way to remove the bias in equation-error based adaptive in nite impulse response (IIR) ltering by on eiving a s heme alled moni normalization. It is found that normalizing all the oeÆ ients of the denominator lter by the ...

Adaptive H 1 Channel Equalization For WirelessPersonal

In this paper, a new adaptive H 1 ltering algorithm is developed to recursively update the tap-coeecient vector of a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) in order to adaptively equalize the time-variant dispersive fading channel of a high-rate indoor wireless personal communication system. Diierent from conventional L 2 (such as the recursive least squares (RLS)) ltering algorithms which minimize ...

H 1 Adaptive Filtering

H 1 optimal estimators guarantee the smallest possible estimation error energy over all possible disturbances of xed energy, and are therefore robust with respect to model uncertainties and lack of statistical information on the exoge-nous signals. We have recently shown that if prediction error is considered, then the celebrated LMS adaptive l-tering algorithm is H 1 optimal. In this paper we ...

Comparison of different numerical methods for calculating stress intensity factors in analysis of fractured structures

In this research, an efficient Galerkin Finite Volume Method (GFVM) along with the h–refinement adaptive process and post–processing error estimation analysis is presented for fracture analysis. The adaptive strategy is used to produce more accurate solution with the least computational cost. To investigate the accuracy and efficiency of the developed model, the GFVM is compared with two versio...
